Body of Christ Church has always been about missions and ministry and one of our main focuses is the Youth. Youth programs encourage youth and young adults to learn more about Christ, and to become great citizens in their local area.
BOCC HOOPS has been designed for 7th-8th grade boys to still allow basketball for Youth that age out other church programs such as Upward Sports. These league is more competitive due to the age group and limited age gape between players. We cater towards 7th and 8th graders, and there will be a few skilled 6th graders as well.
As a parent, you will be pleased as what we have to offer your young adult for developing basketball skills and encourage a Christ-like character. We are a mixture of the best of many basketball leagues in order to create a fun experience for everyone. There is no travel, all games and practices will be at the Body of Christ Church Dreamcenter. All items given to the players are theirs to keep. They will receive a jersey, shorts, t-shirt, and trophy. Some other leagues you may just get a jersey only.
Each practice will have devotion time, it will be taken from one of the lessons in the ministry book. The players are encourage to participate in the devotion just as they do on the court. This year we will be having a all star game to celebrate the end of the regular season. Then there will be playoffs to determine the champion.
We promote in the school system, local businesses such as barbershops, sporting good shops. You may also see our flyer in the Mall. We encourage anyone who is eligible to come out. We have a great Summer League setting without all the extra cost you may incur with AAU or other Youth organizations.
