BOCC HOOPS is the new 7th-8th grade youth basketball league for Body of Christ Church. We provide a competitive environment for basketball and devotions each practice. This is the perfect event for your young man to keep him in the game over the summer, and prepare for high school.
Important Dates:
- Registration open now
- Evaluation 1 – 3/17/2012 5-7pm, Dream Center
- Evaluation 2 – 3/31/2012 5-7pm, Dream Center
- First Week if Practice – 4/17/2012
- First Game – 5/5/2012 (8 games and playoffs)
All games and practices will be held at the Dream Center, 5616 Fox Rd Raleigh NC 27616, 919-872-1931
We will use volunteers for coaches, referees, scorekeepers and other roles. We have also advertised in many middle schools, youth sports websites, news postings and social media connections. We want this league to be successful in reaching as many young men as possible.
The middle school years is an transition from child to young adult and it is important to provide healthy role models to young men during this time period. Not only do we develop basketball skills, we build character by having short devotions during each practice.
